Point spreads, also called lines or odds, often change leading up to a game. Any changes to the point spread that occur after your bet is placed will not change or influence your existing bet.
For example, if you challenge your friend to a bet and it is accepted when the point spread is -3, your bet does not change if the line moves to -4 by the time the game starts. The outcome of your bet will still be decided by the point spread at the time you placed the bet.
